This Privacy Notice for Panagiotis Doukas ("we", "us", or "our") describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your personal information when you use our services ("Services"), including when you:
Questions or concerns? Reading this Privacy Notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. We are responsible for making decisions about how your personal information is processed. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have any questions or concerns, please contact us at pgdoukas@proton.me.
In short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal information provided by you may include:
Sensitive information. When necessary, with your consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law, we process the following category of sensitive information as part of providing the Service: health data (patient medical records entered by healthcare providers using the Service).
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
In short: We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, including:
To facilitate account creation and authentication and otherwise manage user accounts. We may process your information so you can create and log in to your account, as well as keep your account in working order.
To deliver and facilitate delivery of services to the user. We may process your information to provide you with the requested service.
To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
In short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal basis to do so under applicable law.
The GDPR requires us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on, which may include:
Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 12.
Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services.
Legal Obligations. We may process your information where necessary for compliance with our legal obligations.
Vital Interests. We may process your information where necessary to protect your vital interests or those of a third party.
In short: We may share information in the specific situation described below.
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
In short: We use only the cookies strictly necessary for the Service to function. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
The Service uses two cookies, both required for the site to work correctly:
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking technologies, and we do not permit any third party to use tracking technologies on the Service.
In short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice, unless otherwise required by law.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we have no ongoing legitimate need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it, or, if that isn't possible (for example, because it exists in backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
In short: We aim to protect your personal information through organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the personal information we process, including field-level encryption (AES-256) for patient health data and an audit trail recording access to that data. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures. Transmission of personal information to and from the Services is at your own risk.
In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit data from children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18. If we learn that personal information from a user under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from a minor, please contact us at pgdoukas@proton.me.
In short: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to (i) request access to and a copy of your personal information, (ii) request rectification or erasure, (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information, (iv) data portability, and (v) object to certain processing. You can make such a request by contacting us using the details in Section 12. We will consider and act on any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
If you are located in the EEA and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Account information. If you would like to review, change, or terminate your account, contact us using the information in Section 12. Upon request, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases, though we may retain some information where required to prevent fraud, troubleshoot issues, or comply with legal obligations.
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature you can activate to signal a preference not to have your online activities tracked. No uniform technology standard for recognizing DNT signals currently exists, so we do not respond to DNT signals at this time. Since we do not use tracking technologies in the first place (see Section 5), this has no practical effect on how we treat your data.
In short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active users.
If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may email us at pgdoukas@proton.me.
Based on the applicable laws of your country, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, request correction of inaccuracies, or request deletion of your personal information. To make such a request, please contact us at pgdoukas@proton.me.
